This photo was taken by George Maier for The Walk of the Town back in September 2012. Fashion Week was just coming to a close in New York, editors were gearing up to head to Europe, George was still hard at work at The Daily Front Row, and I was heading to Bay Ridge to help my mom purchase a new car. I remember this lovely afternoon and stumbling upon this pic online today took me back. Thank you George for capturing this look — this dress is one of my favorite pieces in my entire wardrobe to this day.

I love Polyvore…I’m quite addicted. It’s like having an unlimited closet, created with an unlimited budget, available to inspire everyone’s sartorial appetite. You can follow me at sha-evans to see other looks. I call this one Get Textured, with the focus on the fun in the textures of the skirt, top, bracelet, and earrings.
Short hair and a perfectly fitting dress–I feel spring coming on. To know me is to understand my love for polka dots, my love for red shoes, and my commitment to pairing them any chance I can get.
I so badly want to be somewhere in the sunshine, NOT surrounded by snow. This light is deceiving!
Please do matchy matchy right. My fall wardrobe is the only thing I love about the summer ending and winter coming.
It doesn’t always have to be glitz and glamor at Lincoln Center for Fashion Week. Sometimes it’s just too hot to do heels and kimonos.
I LOVE my dreidel sweatshirt. It always elicits stares and the ever-so-appreciated, “cool sweatshirt!” Hipsters seem to love it the most. My favorite part: it was a random find on a sales rack at Urban Outfitters and only cost $4.99.
