Dress: Vintage, Wrap: Ann Taylor, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sunglasses: Chanel, Shoes: Aldo

This photo was taken by George Maier for The Walk of the Town back in September 2012. Fashion Week was just coming to a close in New York, editors were gearing up to head to Europe, George was still hard at work at The Daily Front Row, and I was heading to Bay Ridge to help my mom purchase a new car. I remember this lovely afternoon and stumbling upon this pic online today took me back. Thank you George for capturing this look — this dress is one of my favorite pieces in my entire wardrobe to this day.

I love Polyvore…I’m quite addicted. It’s like having an unlimited closet, created with an unlimited budget, available to inspire everyone’s sartorial appetite. You can follow me at sha-evans to see other looks. I call this one Get Textured, with the focus on the fun in the textures of the skirt, top, bracelet, and earrings.

Birthday Brunch Brightness

Top and skirt: John Mack, Shoes: Zara, Earrings: Stella & Dot

photo 2-12 photo 3-6I should probably warn you–I have a bias when it comes to the date May 2nd. I kind of think it’s the best day of the year. What better way to spend a spring birthday than with a brunch full of friends, flowers, and floral patterns? April showers called it!
